FAQs

Do you accept insurance?

I am a private-pay provider and do not work directly with insurance companies. This approach allows me to focus fully on your care — not on diagnoses, session limits, or treatment requirements set by third parties — while also supporting greater privacy and flexibility in our work together.

For therapy clients, I can provide a superbill to submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. I also accept HSA and FSA cards, which many clients find helpful in covering the cost of therapy. I recommend checking with your plan administrator to understand your specific benefits.

What’s the difference between therapy and coaching?

I offer both therapy and coaching, and many clients are unsure which is the right fit — that’s completely normal. Both approaches are grounded in the Inner Architecture framework and support meaningful, sustainable change.

Therapy tends to focus on healing and understanding the emotional and relational patterns that may be shaped by past experiences or current distress. Coaching is more forward-focused and supports clarity, growth, and intentional action around present and future goals.

If you’re not sure which path is right for you, that’s often where I’m most helpful. We can explore your goals together and decide which approach will best support you.

What is it like to work with you?

Working with me is both steady and transformative.

I’m warm, direct, and attuned — I will meet you with compassion, but I won’t collude with the patterns that keep you stuck. Our work is thoughtful and intentional. We slow down when it matters, go deep when needed, and stay focused on meaningful change.

Clients often say they feel deeply understood and gently challenged. You can expect clarity, structure, emotional safety, and forward movement.

How long are sessions? How often should we meet?

Sessions are 50 minutes, and there is no one-size-fits-all schedule. We’ll work together to find a rhythm that supports your growth and fits your life.

Clients often choose to begin with weekly sessions to establish consistency and momentum, then move to biweekly sessions as things stabilize or integrate. We’ll adjust the cadence as needed along the way.

Do you work with high conflict couples?

I work best with couples who are seeking greater understanding, emotional safety, and meaningful change in their relationship. I am not a good fit for high-conflict couples where sessions are consistently escalated, hostile, or unsafe.

I do not work with relationships involving domestic violence, coercive control, or ongoing emotional, physical, or sexual abuse. In these situations, individual support and specialized services are more appropriate.

If I determine that couples therapy is not the right level of care, I will help guide you toward resources that can better support your needs.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or schedule a call—we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

Who is coaching not a good fit for?

Coaching is not a good fit for individuals who need clinical mental health treatment, diagnosis, or crisis support. It works best for those who have a baseline level of emotional stability and are able to engage in reflective, forward-focused work. When deeper therapeutic support is needed, therapy is a more appropriate option.

How long are sessions? How often should we meet?

Sessions are 50 minutes. We establish a clear working rhythm aligned with your goals and desired pace of change. Many clients begin with weekly sessions to build focus, accountability, and momentum, then transition to every-other-week sessions as insights turn into consistent action. The cadence is adjusted intentionally to support progress and integration.
